Netvion DB Editor allows the OpenView NNM administrator to view the contents of the OVW database in a easy to use GUI. Netvion DB Editor consists of two GUI windows.

The Field List window to the right shows all of the "Fields" in the OVW database and the "Number of Objects" in the OVW database that have a value for that field.

For example, there are 22 objects in the OVW database that have a value for the highlighted field "IP Hostname"

The DB Editor GUI lists in detail the objects for the field selected in the Field List window. For example, the second window below shows the 22 objects that have a value in the field "IP Hostname". The window below shows some fields are text strings, some are numbers, some are boolean (True/False).

Galileo enables NNM to discover and manage critical IP resources through the firewall in a seamless and secure way.

With DB Editor, you can:

• Easily view contents of the OVW database.
• Quickly modify the OVW database.
• Delete fields no longer associated with OVW.
